cop admits genocide, long thread Show more
"There were three basements. We knew there were people there including elderly, women and injured. We can’t call them terrorists. They just refused to leave when the state asked them to do so without showing where to go.
There were militants too. But in media it was told everyone in there were terrorists. We knew Kurdish militants never operate more than 7 people at a time. Bodies of 120 people were taken out of those basements.
No security personnel who served in the south-east will believe that 120 PKK members were at the same place at the same time. There were civilians for sure and many elderly, children, old women bodies were taken out.
The more casualties the state had, the more monsterous it became. We were at a point where we were attacking the houses with tanks. There were no laws of war."
