the fact that "social justice warrior" is considered by some a derogatory phrase is rather strange. justice refers to truth, reason, law, and secondarily, morality. all of which seems like things we would want applied to each other, right? even nazis expect social justice amongst one another.

we might as well start insulting our peer's interest in our well-being by calling them friends.

While there definitely are certain things that can definitely be right or wrong, there are many other things that are subjective based on your culture or your personal point of view. We can all agree that murder is generally bad, but some lesser issues may be up for debate.

@cc can we all agree that murder is wrong? what about cultures that practice cannibalism? from what i learned in anthropology it's best not to judge a culture based on our own norms, and that includes those cultures.

ignoring that fact, the internet forces us to mix cultures in a way we really never have. it's not like immigrants coming to another country where they need to assimilate. in this case, no one compromises. what do we do then?
