This Saturday in Budapest will be the first mass protest against the Government after last weekend's elections.

The protest organisers are encouraging people to use to communicate and coordinate during the protest.

Does anyone have experience with FireChat?

on this ^^^ thread for a couple days ago.

It was a MASSIVE protest, see fb video below and the mobile phone system crashed – perhaps because 100,000+ people were in the same area and sending selfies or perhaps because of state interference – the truth will never be known, of course.

I asked a march steward how they communicate with each other and he said they have their own network – I asked if that was SnapChat he said they have something else but neither worked consistently and he didn't have snapchat because his phone wasn't capable. I didn't get to have a deep conversation with him, so I do not know what all that means.

Interesting though!
