–– There are so many new people that I follow and who follow me because of the recent 'influx' I cannot name names this week. I'm still getting to know you all! 😁

When I started in April I didn't know of the other 'Instances' (domains) that are available. Plus, I didn't understand that quality of administration/stability was an issue, yet.

Then I joined soc.ialis.me & now involved in the collective running it.

More thoughts for newbie Mastodons...

is not an 'internet service' it is a community, or rather communities, plural. And unlike the extinct creature, it is evolving.

There are programmers making the next versions RIGHT NOW, so get involved by politely making suggestions.

Also, Mastodon is what you contribute to the community not just take from it. This is not only entertainment. There is no algorithmic inspired circle jerk here.

Ask not what has done for you, but,,,
