It's on European Protected Species list against extinction, but...
people should eat beaver says Poland's reactionary PIS party Minister of Agriculture and as encouragement mentions claim that β€œtheir tails are said to be an aphrodisiac.”, because...
fuck nature and fuck science.

@katnjia Me too actually, which was why it took me 10 minutes to come up with a reply that wasn't just that. ;-)

@katnjia Bigotry bullies tend to fueled by perceived social approval, so... a wide and strong display that their behavior isn't socially acceptable in the 2000s (or acceptable at any time) may help.

Took 50 years, but now NYPD admit "[Stonewall Riots] actions taken by the NYPD were wrong, plain and simple. …I apologize"

However, the violent anti-LGBTQ behavior by the same NYPD continues and as it's not actively countered until removed, it must be seen as implicitly approved of.
Apologies for behavior that is ongoing don't mean much,
but the NYPD so very much want to pinkwash in Pride, now that bigotry isn't generally accepted.

OK, less my kind of music, but... apparently Miley Cyrus supported Occupy Wall Street and I just wasn't paying attention:

@wiredgoddesslain Heh, OK. I'd expect that from NIN I suppose, although I recall trying their music several times and the music-part just didn't work for me.
Just surpised Miley would do a song I actually even bother to check "who's that singing?" from. ;-)

The lyrics:

"God money, I'll do anything for you.
God money, just tell me what you want me to.
God money, nail me up against the wall.
God money don't want everything, he wants it all.

No you can't take it.
No you can't take it.
No you can't take that away from me.

Head like a hole!
Black as your soul!
I'd rather DIE than give you control!

Bow down before the one you serve.
You're gonna get what you deserve!"

Nobody could convince me that ain't revolutionary anti-capitalist lyrics right there.

Was Miley Cyrus always ?
Was I just not paying attention?

This is good good, but needs... you know... more than an intro, a bridge and an outro.

Someone made a music video using video form the possibly most visually spectacular movie I've ever seen ("The Cell" (2000)):

Here's another documentary, on the music genre that went from being "discovered" and declared "the hottest new thing" worldwide to being shoved back to the background in about a year or two, probably because it defied mass-commodification.

"Don't Need You - The Herstory of "

@katnjia It was three parts that I pasted together, because they seemed to me as if they belonged together.
There's stuff in between in the documentary.

@katnjia There's like... one super-excellent, life-defining, heart-punching quote every 5-10 minutes in this thing I think.

Also, Team Dresch is one of my absolute favorite bands.
My 27:th most played out of 2622 artists, says

Here's some more from that "Queercore: How to Punk a Revolution" documentary.
I just couldn't resist.
